As mentioned in our season preview, the BDC are proud to welcome a new addition to our judging panel. Ben “Bon Bon” Broke-Smith has been involved in the drifting scene for as long as we can remember and is renowned for many things, including (but not limited to) his ginger beard, the ability to eat a ridiculous amount of McDonalds burgers in a short period of time and also his balls out, no fear approach to drifting.

With so much going on in the run up to the opening round of the 2013 Maxxis British Drift Championship it can be easy to overlook a few key details! Please see the below timetable so that you can plan your weekend and make sure you get to the best spectating spots in time for the biggest spectacles!

We move into 2013 with the standard of driving reaching VERY high standards. With that, we thought it was time to raise the standard of trophies.
We contacted a number of companies across the UK to find suitable silverware for drivers to place in their cabinets, on their mantel piece, a workshop shelf or where ever they choose.
We eventually chose a company called Dewhursts Trophies, with a shop in Kings Lynn and one in Boston in Lincolnshire, they couldn’t have been more helpful.
After a painstaking trawl through a number of catalogues provided we eventually came up with a decision on which type to choose.
With the start of the 2013 British Drift Championship just around the corner, we thought that now would be the perfect time to take a look at this year’s line up. From the stalwarts to the newbies, the movers and shakers to the long time protagonists, this season looks set to the best ever for both the drivers and the spectators.

This week we take a look at the R33 Nissan Skyline of Nick ‘The Urban Tiger’ Brady, who has been working on his car over the past few months, albeit with a little help thanks to his self-confessed total lack of mechanical ability!
